How We Check Every Home Tutor
Before any introduction, every tutor goes through the same steps. Here they are, exactly, including what we do not check.
Our checks, step by step
1. First screening on WhatsApp
Name, gender, where the tutor lives, subjects and classes, areas, availability and expected fee. We explain the terms: Rs 0 registration, no deposit, and that tutors are independent, not our employees.
2. Documents
A CNIC copy (front and back; we check it has not expired and the name matches), the latest degree or result (plus a current student card if still studying) and two references who are not relatives. Quran teachers: a sanad or ijazah if they have one (not required), and where they studied. A police character certificate is optional.
3. Interview
In person in a safe public or office setting (by video only for online-only tutors), never at a family’s home. We see the original CNIC and check the photo, see the original degree or result, give a short subject check at the level the tutor wants to teach, and ask safety questions (for example: “You arrive and only the child is home. What do you do?”). Answers are scored out of 25.
4. Reference calls
We call both references ourselves and ask how they know the tutor, about punctuality, behaviour with children and honesty. We never share the tutor’s CNIC or personal details with them.
5. Decision
Approved, approved with limits (for example online only, or lower classes only), or not approved. Any red flag means not approved, whatever the score: documents that do not match, relatives given as references, accepting physical punishment, objecting to a guardian being present, or suggesting deals outside Qutbnuma.
6. Agreement
The tutor accepts our tutor agreement and code of conduct in writing (“I AGREE” from their registered WhatsApp number).
7. After each placement
We check in with the parent and the tutor around day 3 (while the 7-day replacement window is open) and again before the first month ends.
8. Ongoing
A yearly re-check (CNIC expiry, new results, any complaints). Any harassment or safety complaint means immediate suspension while we look into it.
What we do not check
- We are not the police and have no access to criminal-record databases. A police character certificate is optional, and we say plainly whether a tutor provided one.
- We see original degrees and results, but we do not confirm them with the university or board that issued them.
- We cannot guarantee exam results or marks. Our guarantee is the free demo and the 7-day replacement.
- We never use “police verified”, “government verified” or “100% verified” badges, because those checks are not what we do.
A checklist for parents
- Ask us what was checked for your tutor. We will tell you.
- Keep a guardian at home for every class, especially the first ones.
- Keep contact between the tutor and your child through you: no private social-media contact.
- Pay only with an Order ID, to account details from our official WhatsApp (0313-2988345).
- Use the free demo class to judge the tutor’s explanations and manners.
- Tell us about any concern at once. In an emergency, call 15 first.
If something goes wrong
Send a complaint to our official WhatsApp with your Order ID. You get a written reply within 15 days (in line with the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014), usually within 24 hours. A harassment or safety complaint means the tutor is suspended at once. In the first 7 days you can also ask for a replacement tutor at no extra charge. Refund policy · Safety rules.
The right tutor. The right direction.
