Terms of Service

1. Who we are: intermediary disclosure

Qutbnuma is a tutor placement (introduction) service run by Muhammad Shaniyal (sole proprietor, Karachi). We introduce parents and tutors to each other, check tutors, and follow up after tuition starts.

• Tutors are independent, not Qutbnuma employees. How and what a tutor teaches is the tutor’s own responsibility.
• Qutbnuma is not an open online marketplace: tutors do not list themselves. We make every match ourselves, by hand.
• We do not guarantee any exam result or marks. Our only guarantees are the ones written in these terms and on the Fees & Guarantee page.

2. How the service works

1. The parent sends a request by form or WhatsApp.
2. We match a tutor we have checked and introduce the parent and the tutor.
3. There is one free demo class before the parent confirms.
4. When the parent confirms, we send an Order ID (format QN-YYMMDD-NNN, for example QN-261001-001).
5. Tuition starts; we follow up in the first weeks.

3. Fees and payments

• Parents: registration fee Rs 0. Tutors: registration fee Rs 0 and no security deposit.
• The parent and the tutor agree the tutor’s fee together.
• Qutbnuma’s share (monthly tuition): 50% of the tutor’s first-month fee only, once. From month 2 the full fee belongs to the tutor and the parent pays the tutor directly.
• Short tuition (crash course of 45 days or less): Qutbnuma’s share is 35% of the total agreed fee.
• Collection: after confirming, the parent sends Qutbnuma’s share directly to Qutbnuma by bank transfer or JazzCash with the Order ID, and pays the rest to the tutor.
• If the parent has paid the full amount to the tutor, the tutor sends Qutbnuma’s share within 3 days, with the Order ID.
• Qutbnuma never holds a tutor’s money.
• Pay only to account details given from our official WhatsApp number together with the Order ID.

4. Parent terms

• Give correct information in your request (class, subjects, area, timing) so that the match is right.
• An adult (guardian) must be at home during every home tuition class.
• Treat the tutor with respect and keep to the agreed timing.
• Pay the agreed fee on time: in month 1, Qutbnuma’s share with the Order ID and the tutor’s part to the tutor.
• You are not given the tutor’s CNIC details; you are given the tutor’s qualification, experience and subjects.
• The non-circumvention rule (section 6) also applies to parents.

5. Tutor terms

• Registration fee Rs 0 and no security deposit.
• Qutbnuma’s share for each new placement: 50% of the first month’s fee (35% of the total agreed fee for short tuition). From month 2 the full fee is yours.
• If the parent pays you the full amount, you must send Qutbnuma’s share within 3 days with the Order ID.
• One demo class before confirmation is free; nobody is charged for it.
• Documents: CNIC copy, latest degree or result, 2 references and a short interview. A police character certificate is optional. Documents must be true and genuine; false information means the profile is closed at once.
• Punctuality, professional behaviour and respect for children. Teach only while a guardian is present.
• Use the parent’s details (phone number, address) only for that tuition, and never pass them on.
• You are an independent tutor, not a Qutbnuma employee.

6. Non-circumvention (12 months)

For 12 months from the date of introduction, if a tutor introduced by Qutbnuma gives any tuition to the same family (siblings included), at home or online, through Qutbnuma or directly, it counts as a Qutbnuma placement and the fee rules in section 3 apply. “Introduction” means the moment we put the tutor and the family in contact, for example for the demo class.

7. Safety and conduct

• Zero tolerance for harassment: verbal, physical or online.
• On a complaint the tutor is suspended at once; a decision is made after we look into it.
• A guardian must be at home during tuition.
• Female tutors are available on request.
• In any immediate danger, first call 15 (Police), then tell us.

8. Demo, replacement and refunds

• One demo class before confirmation is free.
• 7-day replacement guarantee: if the parent is not satisfied in the first 7 days, Qutbnuma arranges a replacement tutor at no extra charge. If no suitable replacement is found within 7 days, Qutbnuma’s share is refunded in full.
• Pro-rata: if tuition stops in the first month for a reason that is not the tutor’s fault, Qutbnuma’s share is charged only for the days taught (minimum one week).

9. Our role and its limits

We check tutors (documents, references, interview) and follow up as carefully as we can. Tutors are independent, however, so Qutbnuma cannot answer for everything a tutor does. If a problem arises we act at once (suspension, replacement) and cooperate where needed. Nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you, including under the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014.

10. Complaints

• Send complaints only to our official WhatsApp number, with the Order ID and details.
• You get a written reply within 15 days (in line with the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014), usually within 24 hours.

11. Privacy

How we use your data is set out in the Privacy Policy. A tutor’s CNIC details are never shared with parents.

12. Changes and governing law

• These terms may be updated over time; new terms are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Tuition already confirmed stays under the terms in force when it was confirmed.
• These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, including the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014 and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016. Courts in Karachi have jurisdiction over any dispute.
• For tutors, Qutbnuma’s Tutor Agreement (accepted by replying “I AGREE” on WhatsApp or by signature) also applies. Where this page and the Tutor Agreement differ, the Tutor Agreement (including its dispute process) applies to the tutor.
